According to me there are 4 main things needed to start blogging, and they are:
- A hosting
- Domain name
- Love for writing
- And be a little Technical.
Now below I will tell you several things that a new blogger or someone who doesn't know much about blogging and wants to start blogging must know. And you will have a good understanding of the four things I mentioned above. I don't know how much I can cover but what I will share is completely from my own experience and I think it will be very helpful for a new blogger. Inshallah
1. First of all decide why you want to start blogging i.e. what is your purpose of starting blogging?
Love writing so want to publish your writing on the internet. Or want to start blogging because you want to earn money along with writing.
If you want to publish your content on the internet, you can start with free blogging platforms. But to start blogging as your career you must take help of paid means like hosting and domain purchase.
Because there are many differences between free and paid platforms. You can start with a free blogging platform but you will have less control and you will be limited. On the other hand, if you host the site yourself, then the whole thing will be in your hands or under your control.
2. You must be a little techy otherwise it will be difficult to manage and maintain your blog site. However, you can gain experience by researching this topic on the internet, but you have to be a little techy to do that.
3. Blogger is the best free blogging platform and WordPress is the paid platform. But even if you are starting from Blogger, definitely try to spend a little and buy a custom domain. And if you want complete freedom and better experience in blogging then definitely host your WordPress site by purchasing a hosting and domain.
4. If you want to use free blogging platform and earn money by monetizing your blog site content through AdSense. In that case you can only do it from Blogger.com and cannot use Adsense in any other free blogging platform.
5. If you start blogging in Bengali, you must keep in mind that you will get very less traffic, while if you start blogging in English, the possibility of getting traffic is definitely more, but in that case, there will be more competition.
6. Blogging requires you to have some experience in SEO or Search Engine Optimization. Otherwise you will not be able to bring traffic or visitors to your site organically and your content will not be able to rank in Google.
7. Always try to write unique content and never post articles, photos and videos on your blog site that copy someone else's content.
In this case your site will be considered as a duplicate site in the search engine and your site may be penalized by Google and other search engines.
8. You must do a good research about the niche or topic that you want to build your blogging on so that there is enough daily or monthly search volume or traffic on that niche.
Because if you create your blog site on a niche or topic that very few people search about then you will never get enough visitors to that blog site.
9. While getting a domain you must get a domain within the TLD domain like .com, .in, .net, .org, .info etc. And of course, make sure your domain name reflects the niche or topic of your blog site.
10. When buying hosting, never buy hosting from a hosting provider that is offering cheap hosting and is not popular because you will face various problems in future. So when buying hosting buy hosting from a popular hosting provider.
11. Once your blog site is ready to write content, be sure to index it with Google, Bing and other search engines.
